A Heroic Legend of Arslan is a title of the the Japanese fantasy novel, which is known in Japan as Arslan Senki (アルスラーン戦記).

Andy skinner, Yoshiki Tanaka, started writing Arslan around 1986, but when of 2004 the series is still bare. It was processed into the manga and from 199Unity to 1993 into the 4-a share1 bare anime OVA.

the story is placed inside a fantasy setting resembling historical Persia.
